Comedy of Family: through narration of pics....

I found myself wondering through my sister's online photo album
& almost died from laughter. I thought I would share these
comical gems & personal comments with you....
I hope you enjoy them!

Meet my Son & my Father:

...clearly, we can see the victor.....(sorry Dad)
My sister had this photo dubbed "Elder Abuse".
Plainly, I agree.

Meet Cousin Billy:

".....now you see, the proper driving techniques have to be in place, Katie, to insure the population's safety. There are too many idiots on the road today that are negligent in the driving process. Take note, Katie,....take note."

Meet my Daughter....

"....I'll take one of each."

Meet Dad & cousin Billy (again):

Dad + Billy spells T.R.O.U.B.L.E.
...& the fun hasn't even started.

And as always.....save the best for last!
The comment stated here is from my sister, Katie.
You will see that we share the same humor.
I need not change or add to her statement.
The photo clearly speaks for itself:

Meet Mom....

"My mom decided, after 30-odd years,
to finally go on a roller coaster again.

My dad is sitting next to her.

They're both sitting in the row behind me.

I think they really enjoyed it."

In conclusion, I think I might search through my own albums in hopes of finding even more moments of comedy.... *Would LOVE to hear any thoughts on these*

We the Kings @ Tropicana Field

We had a blast hanging with the family this weekend. We the Kings had an awesome performance. This was the first time we were able to see Travis and the band Live.

My little ones were so excited to hang with cousin Travis.....Looking forward to the Holidays!

We the Kings are headed back to the UK....

LOVE YOU!

Dem Convention

I'm really into politics, but since the election process has dragged on for so long, due to them starting toooo early, I could care less.

In the past I liked to watch both sides, hear what they have to say, watch them get cheered on etc. Although I find Obama very interesting, but not for positive reasons, I can't bring myself to watch this week.

I have been watching Glenn Beck & Nancy Grace, to get some tidbits of news but not a huge clump of the race. Anyone else dis-interested this election year??

Yoville on Facebook.com

I've never really gotten into the whole Sims game, but decided to try out 'Yoville' on facebook.com . I have to say, it is pretty amusing....

I made my little 'mini-me' character and have made a few 'friends'. The most interesting fun I've had since signing up, has been joining a gang called 'Smugglers Inc.', where we fight off scammers & becoming a reporter for the Yoville Times.....Call me dork, I know already.

BUT, you actually can have fun, & it's always fun to watch 'others' run around town and seriously get into the game.

If ever bored and want to try something new, check it out! And if you wanna be my buddy, click the link and I will show up on your buddy's list & vice versa!

Obama & Biden......what a couple.

The secret is out. Obama picks Biden. I was a little surprised to hear that Obama didn't give in and pick Hillary. Although I don't like Hillary, I do think that she would have been the best choice, given that her voters would have more than likely given their support to Barack. But, no one ever said that Obama was a SMART man. Obama has been called other niceities, but never 'smart'.

So, the countdown has finally arrived. Come on November! I'm sick to death of this campaigning nightmare! Enough already!

I laughed out loud when both men became blubbering idiots on the Chicago stage. 'American President-Biden' & 'Barack America', sure are silly comments for 2 men not afraid of the stage, so to speak.

McCain is supposed to keep track of blunders from these two. Ah, that might be enough reason to check out his website every once and awhile. I'm no fan of McCain either so......who knows!

Hurricane Fay......Yeah!

Well, it appears that I am, once again, in the direct path of yet another flippin' hurricane. I am a 'Florida Cracker', but the last 10 years have been ridiculous.

In 2004, we had the string of hurricanes that followed each other like a marching band, right through my neck of the woods. So much so, that my then, 3 year old son could have replaced any well known Weatherman due to his extensive knowledge of the hurricane season and inner workings. Worst part of 2004, for me, was the fact that I was a week past my due date for the arrival of my daughter. Husband & I packed up and headed for my parents house, since they don't have many trees around the house like we do. Once the storm came-a-knockin' we lost power ....damn!

So, for about a week we didn't have electricity which is aggrevating by itself but, coupled with being 41 weeks pregnant with my second child, topped with choosing to sleep on the back porch on an air mattress to avoid sweating like a pig, quadrupled by the most intensivied urges for a hot meal and a warm bath......we waited.....& it was hell I tell you. On the 9th of Sept., in true diva form, my daughter decided to make her grand entrance into this world about an hour after the power was restored at the house, which put me at 42 weeks pregnant.....DIVA, pure DIVA!

So, in light of Hurricane Fay, I have a few things to be thankful for this go-around, and I would like to memorex them in all of my blog-glory (just in case):

I am THANKFUL for the fact that I am not expecting nor am I anywhere close...

I am THANKFUL for the generator that my father bought after the Hurricanes of 2004, in which will be put to good use (hopefully no need) sometime this week...

I am THANKFUL for the opportunity to watch my little cousin, Travis Clark, rise to fame in the music world & to actually get to watch he & his band, We the Kings, perform numerous times on MTV. I knew there had to be one lucky S.O.B in the family to make it rich....

I am THANKFUL for having the opportunity to experience a day when both children would be in school at the same time, to spend the day in silence.....(today was my day!) for those of you who are at home moms, it IS wonderful & your day is coming too...

I am THANKFUL for the opportunity to see my husband work his ass of at his job, come home and work his ass off with the house & kids due to an auto accident I had at the beginning of July (see Q-tip post), which has left me with Dr. restrictions and way too many appointments...

So, this might be my last post for a little while, ah...maybe I'll think of something else a little later. For those of you who do not live in Florida, or a state that experiences them frequently, think of us this week as you cook a hot meal in your air conditioned homes, while listening to the TV/radio, all the while pointing and stating what a bunch of idiots we are to live here in the first place..........please do, because we will be (not so kindly) thinking about you!

Mis-haps with the Q-tips....

Being involved in a rear-end collision is not something that most people would sign up for. I didn't sign up for one either, but my number was pulled anyway. At the beginning of July.

Since then I have been to numerous Dr. appointments for pain etc. Taxing, let me tell you.

Anyway, I live in the Q-tip (the elderly) capital of the state of Florida. Not only was there a Q-tip involved at the beginning of July, I have now been almost assaulted by another one, that decided she was getting in the left lane no matter what. No signal, heck, she didn't even look! The only thing that I can give her credit for is the fact that she had a 'lead-foot'. This little lady was trying to pass the car ahead of her to go faster. So, in her blue Honda, she ran us up onto the concrete median all the while slamming on breaks.....

I'm already wearing a soft collar for my neck, what else do these Q-tips want? Blood? I keep checking my cervical collar to see if there are any magnets in there, but I've yet to find one.....

Until next time...

China....or is it?

The voice behind the face(Lin Miaoke)......Yang Peiyi
I'm not going to ignore the fact that 'we' have done this as well (using a prettier face/foreign voice...), and the 'drive' for the public to view attractive people in entertainment venues. But this is a little girl....
If I had to become one of these girls, I wouldn't know whom to choose. This situation can bring unhealthy psychological ideas about who they are to the forefront. One girl, is pretty but might not have anything else to offer. One girl has the voice of an angel, an awesome talent that few acquire....but is too ugly to be seen.
See what I mean? Neither of these children were 'celebs' over in China. Their claim to fame is the exposure they received from the 2008 Olympics.
The pretty one, is getting all of the attention from the public & the one with an actual talent is left in the dark, grateful to have had a part in the opening ceremonies at all~reported.
Couple this story with the firework display that was also a mirage and what do we have? Our first 'look' into the country & we now how to decipher what is real and what isn't?
China is a joke.
Yang Peiyi IS BEAUTIFUL!!!

Ultimate Fighter.......Brock Lesnar??

Okay......
First I have to admit to the public that yes, I used to watch WWE every week, and yes I am familiar with Brock Lesnar, and yes I do think he is a monster of a man, and yes, I did wonder what someone would look like after a Brock Bash to the face..... There, I have confessed.
BUT (that word should be bigger), I am now wondering if Brock fighting in MMA with UFC is just a mockery to the sport. Let me explain my theory......
Let's look first at the definition of MMA:
MMA stands for Mixed Martial Arts. Now the question is what is Mixed Martial Arts? Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a full-combat sport that combines elements of boxing, kickboxing, wrestling, jujitsu and other disciplines.
I know that Brock Lesnar has an impressive background in wrestling, and just due to the mere size of the man we can assume that his punch is hard. I know that he has only had 2 televised fights to speak of, but I have to admit my disappointment.
Brock Lesnar made a name for himself in the WWE. Once that got old for him, he quit and decided to play football, well, I can only guess that he got bored with 'ball' too, and now he decided to bully his way up the MMA charts. Officials stated that he has been training for 6 months since his fight/loss with Frank Mir, and in my belief of what was stated, I expected to see a new and improved Brock Lesnar. But I didn't get that......
Here is a man that out weights, overpowers and is quick for his size storming into the octagon. He is able to trick Herring and lands a great punch to the eye of his opponent. Great! A very promising start! But that was it. Brock Lesnar learned nothing of the MMA sport and in my opinion he didn't study up on his college wrestling techniques either.
One great lucky punch to an eyeball.
Sure he dominated Herring in the octagon but even with all of that control over his opponent, he didn't actually DO anything, besides lay on the guy and strong arm him. What took 6 months to learn?? Why didn't he get his hooks in while he had Herring's back? Why didn't he try to get an arm-bar? Was Lesnar really afraid that Herring had superpowers and that Herring would end up overpowering him if he tried to do anything remotely linked to skill?
I didn't care too much for his attitude after the fight ended. Jumping around and gesturing to the crowd like he actually DID something. To me the fight was no more that watching a cat bat a mouse around.....
My opinion of Brock's MMA career is that he knows his strength and size work for him. His ego matches his physical size, and let's face it, you can't teach an old dog new tricks. He will never acquire actual MA techniques other than getting someones back. His upper body strength is so massive that no opponent will even think about getting involved with arm-bars or choke holds. Mir showed the world where the Giant's weakness was.........his legs. There are few if any in the UFC that are 'big' enough to take him. Capability, yes, there are plenty that could teach Brock a lesson or two, but lack of size will be a hindrance.
I feel that the signing of Lesnar was a slap in the face to guys out there that have an actual love for the sport. You know, the guy who's been training for 10 years to make it big in the MMA world.
A hard slap in the face, by a BIG GUY with no skills, who got his ass kissed by the likes of Dana White and others that are into the finances. They now he is a big name and will draw crowds & pay-per-view revenue. But I think that the fans will have their fill early in Brock's career and get tired of him too. Hell, if Kimbo isn't a worthy MMA fighter, then how does Brock fit into the picture??
I'm off my soapbox now, thank you.

John Edwards wins the Loser of all Losers Award

I'm not naive, anyone is capable of cheating. Honestly, I don't really care that John cheated on his wife with a 'campaign' woman. Of course, the normal tags that are placed on cheaters apply here, like;

Pig, Loser, Pig, Jerk, Pig, Scum, Pig.....You get the picture.

Nope, I don't care that he cheated. What does get me is the medical condition of his wife due to cancer. I've always thought that she looked older than he did (boy, those $700 haircuts are worth the money huh?), which still can be true because I don't enough to actually find out.... but I feel sorry for her due to her condition with all of the stress that comes from attempting to gain Presidency, now she has a whole heap of crap thrown on her due to her man's lack of controlling his zipper.

I find it funny that the same man who has run for Presidency the last 2 terms, is now running from media and locking himself in a public rest-room. What would he have done if he were in Pres. Bush's shoes these last few years? Knowing that reports are stating that Americans' view of his policies are no longer accepted and that his approval rating is lowest of the low?? Would Edwards have ran and locked a bathroom door on the press?? *chuckle, chuckle*

I've never understood how N.C. could have Edwards representing their state in the first place. N.C. is full of hometown mentality and morals.....what's this ambulance chaser doing running the show over there?

Luckily, for N.C., Edwards political office is over.....

Deaths of Celebs in 2008

2008 has been a busy year for the early passings of some note-worthy celebrities.....

Heath Ledger
Christian Brando
Tim Russert
Tony Snow
Bo Diddley
Bernie Mac
Isaac Hayes

Plus many more.....

The Russian Invaders...

For the last few years, Putin has been on a mission. Anyone can plainly see that he wants to put Russia back on the map in hopes of Russia becoming a super-power again. He has already declared the North Pole as Russian territory, and now he plans on moving southward. Putin has linked himself up with terrorist nations and even though there is a claim that America & Russia are allies, yeah-okay!, Putin has ruffled his feathers at us as well.

Is it a co-incidence that Georgia is the 3rd ranked country in the world that has the most soldiers in Iraq? Can you believe that? Americans, British, & Georgians?? Yep, they have a total of 2,000 soldiers fighting the war on terror....

Putin has threatened other countries as well in opposition to the U.S. wanting to put a defense shield in Europe. Why would he object? We are allies, the shield is only used to deflect missiles aimed at us or our allies in Europe. What's the fuss?? Putin has his plans on shaking this world to the core.....

In Ezekiel, chapters 38-39 speaks of Israel being invaded by the "North", along with Muslim countries like Iran, Syria etc.

Never in history has Russia & Iran ever had dealings with each other. NEVER. But just a year or so ago, Putin is hob-nobbing with the Iranian Terrorist in charge? Putin sticks up for other Muslim nations, and blocks any kind of sanctions against countries that need them.

Now that Israel is threatening to blow up Iranian Nuclear Reactors, we might just see this part of prophecy come true in our lifetime......

Update on Georgia vs. Russia

UPDATED: Are Russia and Georgia on the verge of all out war? Tensions have been growing for the last few years, but the situation has deteriorated rapidly in the last twenty-four hours and fighting along the border has broken out. Most serious so far: Russian fighter jets have bombed two towns in neighboring Georgia, killing and injuring innocent civilians, Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili said Friday. [At 9:35am eastern, Fox News reported that Georgia had shot down four Russian fighter jets....an hour ago, the New York Times reported that two Russian jets had been shot down, something AP reported as well....AP is now also running this headline: "Russia Invades Georgia."....at 10:47am eastern, AP reported hundreds dead in fighting....Sen. McCain has just called on Russia to halt its action in Georgia and withdraw....]
One critical issue to watch as the crisis develops: Who is really in charge in Moscow, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin or newly installed President Dmitry Medvedev? For the moment, it seems to be Putin who is calling the shots and speaking out most forcefully on the crisis with Georgia. Putin, of course, believes deeply in restoring the glory of Mother Russia. He certainly does not want to lose Russian territory and is determined to expand the Russian empire. As I have written about previously, he knows he cannot expand Russia westward because NATO is expanding eastward. Putin also knows he cannot expand Russia eastward because of China. He has claimed ownership of the North Pole, but the real opportunity for Russia is to expand southward, and that is where Putin has been focusing all of his attention in recent years. He is determined to control the Caucuses region, and South Ossetia -- though not a name or place most Westerners have ever heard of much less cared about -- is a key piece in Putin's southward strategy. Interestingly, a new poll finds that four times more Russians think Putin is the most powerful man in Moscow than Medvedev, and tensions between the two men have been growing all summer.

Osama, Obama, Opramah, O....whatever

America, it is time that you meet your future superhuman President! Obama is gonna make the changes that this nation needs, changes of changes & the changes that changes will need!

We are headed for some rip-roarin exciting times in the next few years. It will be like Christmas every time he signs a bill of law, you know, with all the excitement of actually finding out what type of changes he really envisions for us 'feeble-minded Americans!

I gotta tell ya, that even though I am a conservative, I actually am excited to see what this man can do. As far as the press is concerned, most Americans love him! So, against my better judgement, and the lack of love & support I have for McCain, I'll go with Osama-Obama. Mind you, not with an actual casting of a vote for Barack, but in my lack of activity in this upcoming election, I know that no vote will constitute towards a vote for Obama.

So, there ya go. In a round-a-bout way, I am for Obama. Hopefully this will finally prove that no racism is running through my veins......you know, being 'white' & all.

So, farewell to the foundation of this country. Farewell to the morality that we once had. Farewell to our military efforts across the globe, & Hello to all of the illegals that will be soaking up my retirement benefits & social security!

Good ol' Olympics of 2008

I've never been a big fan of the Olympics, but I have to admit that I was somewhat interested in this 2008 event. I know that I should feel surprised that China actually got to host the Olympics this year, but with all the chaos and loss of morality that this world is engaging in, I'm pleasantly surprised that I'm not.

I'm disappointed in the fact that Pres. Bush attended this event.....Maybe he will be smoking a Cuban Cigar next week in Cuba!

I guess the next trend in store for America is communism! Oh, come on! Aren't you excited?? I'm kinda looking forward to it! (sarcasm-people)

Where in the World is Caylee

What a horrible case this has been. Since I have small children & live in Florida, this case has captured my attention from day one. But after a few weeks of watching this case unfold, I find myself forgetting that there is a beautiful little girl even missing. I have been so distracted by the statements that the family has made, not to mention lie after lie from the child's own mother, that Caylee has taken a backseat, she has become an afterthought.....
Of course, it is plausible for a little girl to be kidnapped by their babysitter, but it is unbelievable that Casey Anthony never reported her child missing until her mother Cindy got involved.
Words can't express my feelings towards this whole family in general. One thing I can tell you is that I would love to get my hands on Casey.....
Regrettably, I am leaning towards the thought that Caylee has passed on long ago. I don't think the investigators ever had a chance, and it appears that they came to that conclusion long before attention was brought to this case.
My only hope is that if/when Casey Anthony is tried & convicted, they will go after the family as well. Wonder if there is anyway that the county could seek financial damages in this case for all of the wasted time & effort that has been spent searching for Caylee, due to the mother's lack of any truthful statements.
